Start and then click on the search type Disk clean-up, click on it and choose Run as administrator, there you will be asked which drive you want to clean up.

  • Disk Cleanup will scan and tell that how much space on this drive available to you.
  • The window will then launch the Administrator mode as recycling and clean up Windows Update option will be highlighted then click OK.
  • If you click OK, then Disk clean-up process will begin and the computer will be clean unnecessary files.

Windows 8 / 8.1

  • Click Start and type Cleanmgr.exe, click on it and choose Run as administrator.
  • You will have the option of the drives that you want to clean the drive Select the drive, it will start scanning for the free disk space.
  • After scanning is complete, the box will come to you.
  • If you click OK, then Disk Cleanup will verify that the files you want to delete forever.
